The State Councilor and Minister for foreign affairs, Wang Yi, signed the joint communiqu for the establishment of diplomatic relations between People's Republic of China and the Republic of Dominica by Vargas, the foreign minister of Dominica, in Beijing. Since the communiqu's signing, the Republic of People's Republic of China and Dominica have recognized and established diplomatic relations at ambassadorial level.
